Growing in Christ: Get rid of the gunk!

Yesterday, I ended my evening washing a pan out, that had been soaking on the kitchen counter. As I scrubbed away the once hard residue, off the pan. I am reminded of a life of a Christian.

The more time you spend with Christ, the more you become like Him. There is a transformation of the mind; old thinking is slowly replaced with Christ thinking ! Sinful nature, is placed under the authority of a righteous, Christ nature! You become more, and more like Jesus, the longer you saturated yourself in Him... Like that dirty pan, that once had stuck on gunk! It is easily transformed into a clean pan, the longer it soaked in the water! Hallelujah!

(Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.)

The bible tells us here...
Romans 12:2
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

The only way that our minds can ever be renewed/ transformed is by the word of God! Reading, studying, and praying. Spending time with our Heavenly Father and soaking in His presence. Allow Christ to wash away everything that hinders our spiritual growth with Christ. Transforming our old ways into His ways!

Today, have you soaked yourself in the word of God? Are you allowing Christ to continue to transform you? Are you reading your bible ?

I love, love, love! How Paul puts HIS TRANSFORMATION ...
Galations 2:20
20 I have been crucified with Christ [in Him I have shared His crucifixion]; it is no longer I who live, but Christ (the Messiah) lives in me; and the life I now live in the body I live by faith in (by adherence to and reliance on and complete trust in) the Son of God, Who loved me and gave Himself up for me.

Paul is one of the greatest example of a transformation! A persecutor of Christian, who recieved a spiritual heart transplant!

Gooood morning King Jesus !! Gooood morning FB family and friends! Have a blessed Tuesday, love Sis Rashida

Pillar of Salt Syndrome

What in the world are looking you back for? Your past? What you could have, should have done? Hurts? Let me start with a story about Lot’s wife. For those that do not know this story or need just a little reminder, do you remember the woman who turns into a pillar of salt? Lot`s wife was a woman in the bible who turn into a pillar of salt, because she looked back at her past. Lot`s wife was warned by angels, to not look back at the city of Sodom and Gomorrah where she and her family had once dwelt. God had sent angels to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah. Sodom and Gomorrah was a city ruled by sexual perversion and every other sin in the book. Therefore, God sent two angels to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah. But First God brought Lot and his family out of the city that their life might be saved.

Let us fast forward to Lot’s wife. Now the angel of the Lord specifically warns lot’s family to not look back as the city while it was being destroyed. However, Lot’s wife chooses to look back and she h…

What is the purpose of life ?

One thing I am learning in life, is don’t waste anymore time! All that time and energy I have wasted complaining about things I can not change, can be time and energy well spent moving forward!

Keep pressing in, it does get better, if you just keep moving forward in Christ❤️

Philippians 3:12-14
Pressing Toward the Goal
12 Not that I have already attained,or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. 13 Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, 14 I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

Raising my children in Christ

What a blessing to be a mother and the opportunity to raise my children in Christ. Daily I am teaching my children that God has called us Christians to be the light in this world of darkness. To do good even in the midst of evil. To choose to serve God, even when family and friends choose to do otherwise.

We are in the last days here on earth and the returning of Christ Jesus draws near! I want to see my entire family, ready for His return. The Bible teaches we do not know the day or the hour but we do know the season. We are to stay ready!

Daily, as a family we dig in this word, and daily we renew our mind. If you have children keep sharing this gospel, keep praying for them ! God has a hold of their hearts.

Scripture reading for today...

Psalm 89:15-16  (NKJV)
15 Blessed are the people who know the joyful sound!
They walk, O Lord, in the light of Your countenance.
16 In Your name they rejoice all day long,
And in Your righteousness they are exalted.
