Growing in Christ: All About Jesus

Goooooood morning King Jesus! Goooood morning family and friends..

Philippians 3:3The Message (MSG)
2-6 Steer clear of the barking dogs, those religious busybodies, all bark and no bite. All they’re interested in is appearances—knife-happy circumcisers, I call them. The real believers are the ones the Spirit of God leads to work away at this ministry, filling the air with Christ’s praise as we do it. We couldn’t carry this off by our own efforts, and we know it—even though we can list what many might think are impressive credentials. You know my (Paul)pedigree: a legitimate birth, circumcised on the eighth day; an Israelite from the elite tribe of Benjamin; a strict and devout adherent to God’s law; a fiery defender of the purity of my religion, even to the point of persecuting the church; a meticulous observer of everything set down in God’s law Book.

7-9 The very credentials these people are waving around as something special, I’m tearing up and throwing out with the trash—along with everything else I used to take credit for. And why? Because of Christ. Yes, all the things I once thought were so important are gone from my life. Compared to the high privilege of knowing Christ Jesus as my Master, firsthand, everything I once thought I had going for me is insignificant—dog dung. I’ve dumped it all in the trash so that I could embrace Christ and be embraced by him. I didn’t want some petty, inferior brand of righteousness that comes from keeping a list of rules when I could get the robust kind that comes from trusting Christ—God’s righteousness.

It's not about you or me! It's all about Christ that shines through us to the world!

Pillar of Salt Syndrome

What in the world are looking you back for? Your past? What you could have, should have done? Hurts? Let me start with a story about Lot’s wife. For those that do not know this story or need just a little reminder, do you remember the woman who turns into a pillar of salt? Lot`s wife was a woman in the bible who turn into a pillar of salt, because she looked back at her past. Lot`s wife was warned by angels, to not look back at the city of Sodom and Gomorrah where she and her family had once dwelt. God had sent angels to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah. Sodom and Gomorrah was a city ruled by sexual perversion and every other sin in the book. Therefore, God sent two angels to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah. But First God brought Lot and his family out of the city that their life might be saved.

Let us fast forward to Lot’s wife. Now the angel of the Lord specifically warns lot’s family to not look back as the city while it was being destroyed. However, Lot’s wife chooses to look back and she h…

What is the purpose of life ?

One thing I am learning in life, is don’t waste anymore time! All that time and energy I have wasted complaining about things I can not change, can be time and energy well spent moving forward!

Keep pressing in, it does get better, if you just keep moving forward in Christ❤️

Philippians 3:12-14
Pressing Toward the Goal
12 Not that I have already attained,or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. 13 Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, 14 I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

Raising my children in Christ

What a blessing to be a mother and the opportunity to raise my children in Christ. Daily I am teaching my children that God has called us Christians to be the light in this world of darkness. To do good even in the midst of evil. To choose to serve God, even when family and friends choose to do otherwise.

We are in the last days here on earth and the returning of Christ Jesus draws near! I want to see my entire family, ready for His return. The Bible teaches we do not know the day or the hour but we do know the season. We are to stay ready!

Daily, as a family we dig in this word, and daily we renew our mind. If you have children keep sharing this gospel, keep praying for them ! God has a hold of their hearts.

Scripture reading for today...

Psalm 89:15-16  (NKJV)
15 Blessed are the people who know the joyful sound!
They walk, O Lord, in the light of Your countenance.
16 In Your name they rejoice all day long,
And in Your righteousness they are exalted.
