Growing in Christ: Your word I have hidden..

Psalm 119:11Your word I have hidden in my heart,That I might not sin against You.
I Love to study the word of God! The more I study the word, the easier it becomes to live this life righteously.
It is truly amazing, how the word of God comes alive within our daily life. I can remember my life without the word, without Christ. A life completely empty, without love, and hopeless . A life as a sinner!
But now I live for the One, who has saved my soul and redeem me from the pit of hell.
As the word clearly states ... Galatians 2:20 (AMP) 20 I have been crucified with Christ [in Him I have shared His crucifixion]; it is no longer I who live, but Christ (the Messiah) lives in me; and the life I now live in the body I live by faith in (by adherence to and reliance on and complete trust in) the Son of God, Who loved me and gave Himself up for me.
So now that Christ dwells in me, I am able to live this life Holy. For Christ is the word, that is hidden in me....
John 1:1In the beginning was the Word, an…

Growing in Christ: Obedient Discipleship

Gooooood morning King Jesus! Gooooood morning family and friends!!

The other day a well mean friend had addressed a concern that she had with an mutual acquaintance.  I told her that The Lord, had spoken to me, to leave the situation alone. She than proceeded to urge me to pray about the matter, followed by her concerns and worries.
Knowing that I have heard clearly from God, I left that situation alone. Note these verses..
1 King 13: 18 He said to him, “I too am a prophet as you are, and an angel spoke to me by the word of the Lord, saying, ‘Bring him back with you to your house, that he may eat bread and drink water.’” (He was lying to him.)
19 So he went back with him, and ate bread in his house, and drank water.
20 Now it happened, as they sat at the table, that the word of the Lord came to the prophet who had brought him back; 21 and he cried out to the man of God who came from Judah, saying, “Thus says the Lord: ‘Because you have disobeyed the word of the Lord, and have not kept the co…

Growing in Christ: His Grace...

My friend Mawaya came over to my home the other day. I am always delighted with her presence, as we always seem to engage in lengthy conversations, on the things of God.

That day, we were discussing our shortcomings, and how we are imperfect people, saved by God's grace.

That discussion brought us to this

2 Corinthians 12:9(NKJV)
And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

The word grace, can be described in so many different ways. However in this particular verse , the word "grace"  speaks of God giving us His ability,
to be empowered by Him, to accomplished what Christ has called us to do.

His Grace (His strength, His favor, His hands on our life) is enough to accomplish what He had designed us to do. It is always seen, in our weakness, that all glory, and honor, points directly to God, and not our self.

Growing in Christ: stillness

Gooooooood morning family and friends!

As I sit here this morning, meditating on the word of God, I am still....
My life can get extremely busy, but being busy for myself, never spells being productive! I have sat here for the last hour, attempting to blog, but I got nothing! Absolutely nada ! ( laughs) When I have become to busy; I have become distracted, from getting my quiet time in with God!
I never write, unless the Holy Spirit guides me in what to say, for the day. For it is not my own will for my life but, God's will in my life, daily!
So I slow my pace, and sit and wait on God. Allowing Him, to minister to my spirit, and speak to me of the things, He wants to say ...
God has pulled the emergency brakes, on my life!
Heavenly Father, my life, and time belongs to You.  For as the word of God says, Acts 17:28 "for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’
I live, breathe, write, and  live this life dail…

Growing in Crist

Have you ever been around a hungry person? If their anything like me. I get pretty grumpy, when I feel my stomach grumbling, and hunger pains kick in!

Just as we need our daily physically food, we MUST read our bibles daily. Reading the word and constantly filling our self up in it! Don't allow your spiritual life to be starved, malnutrition , or empty! In addition, God has a promise to those, who meditate on the word of God, day and night..

Note this verse...
Psalm 1:2-3
But his delight is in the law of the Lord,And in His law he meditates day and night.3 He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water,That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.

Remember God created the body to live off of physically food, and spiritual food daily! You won't live very long, without either one; Suffering a miserable death, both naturally, and spiritually .

So what's for breakfast this morning? ( laughs)

Growing in Christ: Where are you God?

God where are you? Do you not see, what is going on in my life? I am drowning in my own sorrows!
I can remember saying these words, countless times, in the beginning of my faith walk! Crying out to God, to fix my situations. Than in complete awe, when Christ stepped in each time!
It was a never ending cycle, from despair to joy, and back to despair! I am so grateful, for God's patients with me, as I grew in faith, in Him.
Note these verses...
Matthew 8:24-34(NKJV) 24 And suddenly a great tempest arose on the sea, so that the boat was covered with the waves. But He was asleep. 25 Then His disciples came to Him and awoke Him, saying, “Lord, save us! We are perishing!”
26 But He said to them, “Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?” Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm. 27 So the men marveled, saying, “Who can this be, that even the winds and the sea obey Him?”
There comes a time in all of our lives, when we finally grow up, spiritually . No longer…
