Growing in Christ: live this life Godly

Hold fast to living right always! Live purposely for Jesus everyday! As Christians, all eyes are constantly on us, as Ambassadors of Christ! Live this life blamelessly, set the example of what a true believer looks like! If your not sure what a true believer looks like, they look like Christ! For the word of God, declares that in Him we Live, move, and have our being! You are the body of Christ! Live it 24/7! 1 Timothy 4:16 Keep a close watch on how you live and on your teaching. Stay true to what is right for the sake of your own salvation and the salvation of those who hear you. Heavenly Father, I come to You in the name of Jesus! Lord, I thank You that daily You have created in me a clean heart and renew in me a steadfast spirit, as I surrender my life over to you daily! I am so grateful for your love that covers a multitude of sin, and the freedom that can only be found in You! Lord, help me to always be a light shining for Your glory! your honor! And Your Praises! For I have been

Merry Christmas from my family to yours!

It's Christmas Eve!! Glory to God!! God sent His son for a purpose! That only through Christ, His Blood, we are Saved, through Faith in Him!! Colossians 1:19-20 Reconciled in Christ 19 For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, 20 and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross. Have a Merry Christmas, family and friends!

Growing in Christ: don't be mislead

God is love, and those who do not love, do NOT know God!  I recently watch a television show of a young couple who were deceived by a man calling himself a phophet of God. This man would quote scripture from memory easily! He knew the word of God back to front ! But he was missing one thing, LOVE! God's word tells us if we do not love, we do not know Him! He end up almost destroying this couples' life! He molested their children, and the wife! He would beat the entire family daily! He would have them in his control by fear, that they were sinning against God! How di people get deceived like this? By not knowing God truly ! The bible said this.. John3:17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. If anyone is trying to put condemnation on you! Man made rules, of eat this , wear this, to be loved by God! They are not of God! They do not know God! Run for your life, unless you be deceived ! God did not come to c

Growing in Christ: God is...

Goooood morning King Jesus! Goooood morning family and friends! This is the answer to all things, God! God is the Alpha and the Omega! The beginning and the end! God is the answer, and the final say, to everything! Whatever your looking for, look no farther then Christ!! He is... Your healer... Your redeemer... Your way maker... He is the one who meet every need... Your answer to every prayers.. Your protection and safety... Your peace... He is your Everlasting God! Revelation 22:113 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last (the Before all and the End of all). Have a wonderful Monday, love Sis Rashida

Growing in Christ: Taste and see

This verse has been on my heart each morning.. Psalm 34:8 8 Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him! I have seen it in my life, and the life of my closest family members, how Good it is to trust in Jesus! A life that has been tested and proven that living for Jesus is far better, then living this life without Him! I have tasted! I have seen! I am blessed because I trust in Him, and Him alone! Have you really tasted the goodness of Christ? If so share your experience, living a life for Jesus! Good morning King Jesus ! Gooood morning family and friends! Have a blessed weekend ... Love Sis Rashida

Growing in Christ: God's wisdom

Gooood morning King Jesus ! Gooood morning family and friends! God always uses men and women, who will allow His Spirit to speak through them! He is not looking for those who are wise in their own eyes, but those who are wise, because God's wisdom, and knowledge rest on them. Everything that we do must always point to God and Glorify Him only, and never ourself ! For all wisdom and knowledge comes from Christ! Christ has given us His Sprirt! 1 Corinthians 2 (NKJV) 11 For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God. 13 These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 14 But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of

Happy Thanksgiving

1 Chronicles 16:34 O give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever! There is so much to be thankful for today. As we each head out, or prepare our Thanksgiving meal for our families. Stop and give thanks for all what God has done in our lives. I am so very thankful for my children.... Javier, Resham, Joshua, Rhema, Abraham and Jacob, and the baby to come! My parents, and family and friends! I am thankful for each morning God has allowed me to open my eyes, and see that I am blessed! Though my life is far from perfect, it is His grace, mercy, and love that I am the most Thankful for!  For because of God's Grace, mercy and love; He sent His son Jesus! God himself in the flesh, to lay down His life for my sins, that I may be free in Him! For that, I am forever Thankful! Happy Thanksgiving everyone !

Growing in Christ: Look around ...

Isaiah 45:18 For thus says the Lord, Who created the heavens, Who is God, Who formed the earth and made it, Who has established it, Who did not create it in vain, Who formed it to be inhabited: “I am the Lord, and there is no other. I love to sit and look at all the splendors that God has created. Birds, trees, oceans, seas, forest, mountains , to the Grand Canyon, all point to a powerful creator!  Who could ever say there is no God, is such a fool ! If they would only open their spiritual eyes and comprehend the magnitude of God's creations! Or simple ask, how did they, themselves, come to existence! Marvelous is the works of God's hand ! Gooooood morning King Jesus! Gooooood morning family and friends! Love Sis Rashida:)

Growing Christ: Jesus Said!

Matthew 16:19-21 And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven". "MOMMY SAID" was the words screeching out of my two year old's mouth!  My two year old has learned very quickly, that throwing around the words "Mommy Said", gets his older brother and sisters to do what he wants! One smart cunning cookie! (Laughs) There is authority in the name of Jesus! Authority for those only, who believe He is the Son of God, God himself in the flesh, who has died and rose again for our sins! Through faith in Him, absolutely nothing is impossible! So when you and I pray in authority, in His name. Doors are open, and doors are shut! Praying always according to His perfect will, as we pray the word of God!  Because... " Jesus Said"...I will give you the keys! Amen!

Growing in Christ: Leah and Rachel

Spiritual Breakfast this morning... Ruth 4:11 11 And all the people who were at the gate, and the elders, said, “We are witnesses. The Lord make the woman who is coming to your house like "Rachel and Leah", the two who built the house of Israel; and may you prosper in Ephrathah and be famous in Bethlehem. LOVE THIS VERSE!! Rachel and Leah were known in the book of Genesis, for their family disputes of jealousy and envy. However, as always what the enemy meant for evil to bring discord in the family, God turn it around for Good! As great men and women were born in the house of Israel! God is more then able to mend family conflicts, and bless our homes tremendously! God always works everything out for our Good, as we choose to serve Him completely ! Goooood morning King Jesus! Gooood morning family and friends!

Growing in Christ: He keeps us safe!

Psalm 91:11 For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways In Ohio the other day, the snow was horrendous, as my husband was heading home in his Semi-truck! The road ahead of him was covered completely in frigid snow, pouring down heavily! The highway was so thickly covered in snow. that my Husband had to follow tracks of a prior vehicle on the road,. Unfortunately by doing this, he managed to get himself off the correct pathway! Not only was he off route, but he was no longer on the highway! Thank God there was another vehicle on the road. The driver was very kind to allow my husband to follow him back onto the main highway ! I am reminded of Psalms 91:11...God will give the Angels charge over us, to keep us in all our ways!  Though we may get off on the wrong path. God is more then able to send his angels to guide us back onto the right path ! Gooooood morning King Jesus! Goooood morning family and friends!

Growing in Christ: Seeking God not riches!

Gooood Morning King Jesus! Good Morning sweet  family and friends! I was up around 4am this morning and fell back asleep around 6:30am. I enjoyed some quiet time watching a few pastors teach on television. It was time to head back to bed, when I felt the urge to through my iPhone at a pastor preaching on how to get rich, by sowing seeds of money!( I am not speaking about tithing!) Its sad, that the gospel is taking to a low level of how to " get" then how to "serve" one ano...ther! Christ was the greatest example on how we as Christians should operate here on earth... Jesus had a ...J...O...B That`s right, he worked! Mark 6:3... " Is this not the "carpenter", the Son of Mary, and brother of James, Joses, Judas, and Simon? And are not His sisters here with us?” So they were offended at Him" The bible says, a man that does not work, does not eat! Here are a few ways to use Godly wisdom for increase of wealth! Teach Christians how to live h

Growing in Christ: It takes Faith!

Goooood morning King Jesus!!! Goooood morning family and friends! Just Believe He is God! The God of the impossible, miracles and wonders! Have Faith!  Hebrews 11:6The Message (MSG) 5-6 By an act of faith, Enoch skipped death completely. “They looked all over and couldn’t find him because God had taken him.” We know on the basis of reliable testimony that before he was taken “he pleased God.” It’s impossible to please God apart from faith. And why? Because anyone who wants to approach God must believe both that he exists and that he cares enough to respond to those who seek him. Growing in Christ: Pursue Peace

Gooooood morning King Jesus! Goooood morning family and friends! Last night I had a dream. In my dream I was writing on my kitchen chalk board, a bible verse which reads..." Blessed our the peacemakers, for they will be called the sons of God"! God desires us to live in peace purposely! To chase down peace, and to determine to live in peace daily! Are you pursuing peace in your life?  Pursue peace, because it is of God! Romans 14:19 Therefore let us pursue the things which make for peace and the things by which one may edify another.

Growing in Christ: Prince of Peace

No matter what is going around you! Fix your eyes on the " Prince of Peace"! John 14:27(NKJV) 27 Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Growing in Christ: stiff neck

Exodus 32:9 And the Lord said to Moses, “I have seen this people, and indeed it is a stiff-necked people! In life there will always be problems! Always ups and downs! As Christians we all have seen the hands of God on our life! We have seen Christ, delivers us from every obstacle that has stood in our way! However, how many times have you turn back to worrying, murmuring, and complaining about what lies ahead of you? How many times have you been stubborn, and choose not to look to Christ as your deliver, and run in the opposite direction?  Is your neck stuck in a position looking at the problems; unwilling to recognize and see that God is still able to deliver? Are you so stubborn, in always do things your way and not God's way? Don't become "stiff neck" ! Don't allow your focus be off of God, and stuck at looking at the issues of life! Don't live a life of doubt, unbelief, a life of lack of faith! Turn your neck in the direction of the One who moves mountains

Growing in Christ: there is no other God!

When you see your children blessed... When you see every need met... When what was lost, is now found... When you see you have peace in the storms... When the verse " I am a new creation in Christ" is manifested in your life... When you see your healing manifest... When you see your prayers answered... When you see God prepare a table for you before your enemies ! When you see God fight every battle, shut the lions mouth, and lift your head high in times of distress... You shout, " There is NO GOD like Jehovah!!"

Growing in Christ: All About Jesus

Goooooood morning King Jesus! Goooood morning family and friends.. Philippians 3:3The Message (MSG) 2-6 Steer clear of the barking dogs, those religious busybodies, all bark and no bite. All they’re interested in is appearances—knife-happy circumcisers, I call them. The real believers are the ones the Spirit of God leads to work away at this ministry, filling the air with Christ’s praise as we do it. We couldn’t carry this off by our own efforts, and we know it—even though we can list what many might think are impressive credentials. You know my (Paul)pedigree: a legitimate birth, circumcised on the eighth day; an Israelite from the elite tribe of Benjamin; a strict and devout adherent to God’s law; a fiery defender of the purity of my religion, even to the point of persecuting the church; a meticulous observer of everything set down in God’s law Book. 7-9 The very credentials these people are waving around as something special, I’m tearing up and throwing out with the trash—along with

Spiritual Coffee: Pride...

Gooooood morning King Jesus! Gooooood morning family and friends! Though right now I really would love a slice of carrot cake for breakfast! LOL I will have to be satisfied with my spiritual breakfast, and a bowl of ice cold milk, and cereal!! LOL And it reads... 2 Corinthians 10:17-18 However, let him who boasts and glories boast and glory in the Lord. 18 For [it is] not [the man] who praises and commends himself who is approved and accepted, but [it is the person] whom the Lord accredits and commends. King Nebuchadnezzar greatest fall! (Daniel 4:28-36) Praising himself instead praising God, the one who gives us ... Wisdom: James 1:5  If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. Strength: Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Wealth: Deuteronomy 8:18 “And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covena

Growing in Christ: words of our mouth

Philippians 2:14 Do all things without grumbling and faultfinding and complaining [against God] and questioning and doubting [among yourselves], I am constantly reminding my children to do everything without murmuring and complaining. From cleaning their rooms , or doing their homework; it is a constant battle to get things done without an eye rolling, huffing and puffing attack!  Teaching them that the words of their mouth produces life or death ! Blessing or cursing! The words of their mouth should always be chosen wisely ... Note this verse... Matthew 12:36 But I tell you, on the day of judgment men will have to give account for every idle (inoperative, nonworking) word they speak. It is easy to murmur and complain and become stagnate! Just as it is very easy let our words be pleasing unto God! Psalm 19:14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my [firm, impenetrable] Rock and my Redeemer. Goooood morning King Jesus ! Gooood mor

Growing in Christ: Loving God's word

You know when your bible reading time is getting into your Spirit, when you find yourself talking to your bible! LOL  I found myself this morning talking to my bible, while shouting..." You can say that again!" "Speak to me Lord"! Then quickly looked around to make sure the kids didn't think I lost my mind! LOL My spiritual breakfast for today... 2 Peter 3 New King James Version (NKJV) God’s Promise Is Not Slack 3 Beloved, I now write to you this second epistle (in both of which I stir up your pure minds by way of reminder), 2 that you may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us,[a] the apostles of the Lord and Savior, 3 knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, 4 and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.” 5 For this they willfully forget: t

Growing in Christ: Filthy Rags

There is absolutely nothing we could do, on our "own" to be considered righteous in God's sight! No good works nor good deeds... You could sing the best song, quote a million of scriptures, pray every night, and even give to the poor! None of these " works" makes us righteous before God. Isaiah 64:6  But we are all like an unclean thing, And all our righteousnesses are like filthy rags; We all fade as a leaf, And our iniquities, like the wind, Have taken us away. Galatians 2:21 I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain.” What makes us righteous is the blood of Jesus! What makes us sinless is the blood of Jesus! What makes us in right standing before the King of kings is the blood of Jesus! His Blood covers it all! Christ took ALL your sins, every last one of them, and now you are the RIGHTEOUSNESS of Christ, through "faith" in Christ Jesus! All you have to do is accept His invitation of re

Growing in Christ: Everlasting God

Jeremiah 31:3-6 The Lord has appeared of old to me, saying: “Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you. 4 Again I will build you, and you shall be rebuilt, O virgin of Israel! You shall again be adorned with your tambourines, And shall go forth in the dances of those who rejoice. 5 You shall yet plant vines on the mountains of Samaria; The planters shall plant and eat them as ordinary food. 6 For there shall be a day When the watchmen will cry on Mount Ephraim, ‘Arise, and let us go up to Zion, To the Lord our God.’” Just as the Lord loved Israel, with a great love; Christ perfect love for us all is everlasting! I love how the book of Romans puts it..... Romans 8:39 "nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the "love of God" which is in Christ Jesus our Lord". The message for today is that Christ loves us! He loves us so much , that He died for us, rather to see us le

Growing in Christ: forgiveness brings healing

Luke 23:34  Then Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.” And they divided His garments and cast lots. Powerful words spoken from such a loving God! They spat on Jesus! They accused Him of things he did not do! They tore his body with each strike of the whip! They laughed at Him and mocked Him! They put a crown of thorns on His head! They crucified our Savior! In all this, Jesus cried out ... "FATHER FORGIVE THEM FOR THEY NO NOT WHAT THEY DO!" Jesus set the bar for us in forgiveness! A height that no man can reach on their own, but only by the help of the Holy Spirit...  (Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.) Whenever you find it hard to forgive, remember all that Jesus went through . Remember that The Lord understands... Forgiveness keeps your heart always right with God; for unforgiveness is a tool that satan uses to keep us bond in sin!  Today as you bow your knees in prayer, check your heart; chose to forgiv

Growing Spiritually in Christ: Enemy

Isaiah 59:19 So [as the result of the Messiah’s intervention] they shall [reverently] fear the name of the Lord from the west, and His glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him and put him to flight [for He will come like a rushing stream which the breath of the Lord drives]. Last night I had a dream of a huge, furious bear attempting to enter my home! My oldest child and I stood by the door and declared the word of God over the enemy! As the bear, peered his head through my door, there were a group of men holding the bear back! ( word of God accomplishing all that it was sent to do) These men were the angels dispatched, by the word of God! I saw my dad standing in my home, with a large dagger! I told him toss me the dagger that I could take out the enemy's eyes! I awoke from the dream! Each day I put on my full armor of God, ready, and able to stand against every fiery attack of the enemy

Growing in Christ: many are the afflictions

Psalm 34:19 19 Many evils confront the [consistently] righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all. Moses and Pharaoh.... Abraham and His wife Sarah... Jacob and the king's wife... David and King Saul ... Daniel and the lions... Job and satan... Ester and the King... Elisha and Jezebel... Samson and Delilah...  Jesus and the wilderness... The bible tells us MANY are the afflictions of the righteous but The Lord delivers him from ALL! Over the weekend I found myself declaring this verse over myself with many other verses. Reminding myself who I am in Christ and the God I serve is able to redeem time and time again. Just as many women and men in the bible; Trials came their way! But God... Is always faithful to deliver each of us from every obstacle ! Just another hurdle to jump over!! Note this verse... James 1:2-8  [ Profiting from Trials ] My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let pati

Growing in Christ: He Guards...

I woke up hearing this verse..." The Lord Guards all that is mine" Christ guards my children Christ guards my health Christ guards my possessions  Christ guards my life Christ guards my heart He is my covering! Strong tower! Shelter! Note this Chapter... Psalm 16 Living Bible (TLB) 16 Save me, O God, because I have come to you for refuge. 2 I said to him, “You are my Lord; I have no other help but yours.” 3 I want the company of the godly men and women in the land; they are the true nobility. 4 Those choosing other gods shall all be filled with sorrow; I will not offer the sacrifices they do or even speak the names of their gods. 5 The Lord himself is my inheritance, my prize. He is my food and drink, my highest joy! He guards all that is mine. 6 He sees that I am given pleasant brooks and meadows as my share![a] What a wonderful inheritance! 7 I will bless the Lord who counsels me; he gives me WISDOM IN THE NIGHT. He tells me what to do. 8 I am always thinking of the Lord; a

Growing in Christ: Offenses

Proverbs! Proverbs! Proverbs! The book of God`s wisdom! Proverbs 19:11 The discretion of a man makes him slow to anger, And his GLORY is to overlook a transgression. Proverbs 19:11 (MSG) 11 Smart people know how to hold their tongue; their grandeur is to forgive and forget. Christians often get look upon as door mats, to the world, when we overlook offenses. To simply put it, we are not ignorant to things people do or say to us, but WISE enough to choose to handle it God`s way.... Rather being quick to pick up God`s peace, then stir the pot of offenses. Offenses will always come, " Always"! Give it over to God, forgive, forget, and let God fight every battle. Have a bless day in Christ, Love Sis Rashida

Growing in Christ: Chosen

I lift my head up high, because I am loved by God! He is my strong tower, my shelter! My God in who I always trust! My confidence is solely in Him, and never mankind, for Christ's love is unfailing ! I am loved by God! Chosen by Him! And called His beautiful creation! Psalm 3:3 But You, O Lord, are a shield for me, My glory and the One who lifts up my head. Gooooood morning sweet Jesus! Gooood morning family and friends! Have a wonderful Monday, love Sis Rashida:)

Growing in Christ: Can God use me?

Two hands, feet, a body and a head. God has given me all this, to use for His glory! I could look in the mirror, and say.." Lord, I am only one person. How can I do what you have ask of me?" Then, I am gently guided to the book of Mark, which reads... Mark 6:37-44 But he answered, ‘You give them something to eat.’ They said to him, ‘That would take more than half a year’s wages! Are we to go and spend that much on bread and give it to them to eat?’ 38 ‘How many loaves do you have?’ he asked. ‘Go and see.’ When they found out, they said, ‘Five – and two fish.’ 41 Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves. 44 The number of the men who had eaten was five thousand. Give thanks for what God has given you, and God will work His miracles, through your hands, feet, and mouth! God never ask any of us to be super Heroes, or even perfect! He just ask us to have faith in Him! Have a bless week in Christ, love Sis Rashida:)

Growing in Christ: He took your sins

Did you know that Christ died on the cross for our sins? The first man in the bible, that you see Christ taking the place for their sin was, Barabbas. Jesus, found not guilty of any sin, took the place of Barabbas, and all Humanity! His precious blood, that was shed, meant that we were no longer looked upon as ... Sinners Hopeless Lost sheep Deemed for hell! However, through the blood that was shed that day at cavalry, we were " Finally" completely set free in Christ! We are now the righteousness of Christ! (Romans 6:18 And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness.) Christ has covered us in His righteousness! Today, live like, Christ died for your sins! Matthew 27:15-18 Taking the Place of Barabbas 15 Now at the feast the governor was accustomed to releasing to the multitude one prisoner whom they wished. 16 And at that time they had a notorious prisoner called Barabbas. 17 Therefore, when they had gathered together, Pilate said to them, “Whom do y

Spiritual Coffee: Don`t have Sugarcoated lips!

Half truth, sugarcoated preaching is like poison to the body of Christ! Look at it like this. A person with sugar diabetes, has to watch their blood sugar intake. To much sugar can do severe damage to their body, to the point of loss of limbs and even death. This is what sugarcoated preaching, in error does to the body of Christ! It tastes sweet and delicious going down, but as more and more of this false doctrine is swallowed, it slowly deteriorates the body of Christ! Instead of healthy churches; we now have sick churches! Amputated parts of the body of Christ, cut off from one another and the head ( Christ). Wounded blood vessels, were the blood (Blood of Jesus)once flowed freely, now can not (Holy Spirit); due to the over load of sugarcoated messages, that have wreaked havoc on the body of Christ. Paul warns against this in these verses found in 2 Timothy 2:16-17 which states,"16 But shun profane and idle babblings, for they will increase to more ungodliness. 17 And

Growing in Christ: Your word I have hidden..

Psalm 119:11Your word I have hidden in my heart,That I might not sin against You. I Love to study the word of God! The more I study the word, the easier it becomes to live this life righteously. It is truly amazing, how the word of God comes alive within our daily life. I can remember my life without the word, without Christ. A life completely empty, without love, and hopeless . A life as a sinner! But now I live for the One, who has saved my soul and redeem me from the pit of hell. As the word clearly states ... Galatians 2:20 (AMP) 20 I have been crucified with Christ [in Him I have shared His crucifixion]; it is no longer I who live, but Christ (the Messiah) lives in me; and the life I now live in the body I live by faith in (by adherence to and reliance on and complete trust in) the Son of God, Who loved me and gave Himself up for me. So now that Christ dwells in me, I am able to live this life Holy. For Christ is the word, that is hidden in me.... John 1:1In the beginning was the

Growing in Christ: Obedient Discipleship

Gooooood morning King Jesus! Gooooood morning family and friends!! The other day a well mean friend had addressed a concern that she had with an mutual acquaintance.  I told her that The Lord, had spoken to me, to leave the situation alone. She than proceeded to urge me to pray about the matter, followed by her concerns and worries. Knowing that I have heard clearly from God, I left that situation alone. Note these verses.. 1 King 13: 18 He said to him, “I too am a prophet as you are, and an angel spoke to me by the word of the Lord, saying, ‘Bring him back with you to your house, that he may eat bread and drink water.’” (He was lying to him.) 19 So he went back with him, and ate bread in his house, and drank water. 20 Now it happened, as they sat at the table, that the word of the Lord came to the prophet who had brought him back; 21 and he cried out to the man of God who came from Judah, saying, “Thus says the Lord: ‘Because you have disobeyed the word of the Lord, and have not kept

Growing in Christ: His Grace...

My friend Mawaya came over to my home the other day. I am always delighted with her presence, as we always seem to engage in lengthy conversations, on the things of God.  That day, we were discussing our shortcomings, and how we are imperfect people, saved by God's grace. That discussion brought us to this verse... 2 Corinthians 12:9(NKJV) And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. The word grace, can be described in so many different ways. However in this particular verse , the word "grace"  speaks of God giving us His ability, to be empowered by Him, to accomplished what Christ has called us to do. His Grace (His strength, His favor, His hands on our life) is enough to accomplish what He had designed us to do. It is always seen, in our weakness, that all glory, and honor, points directly to God, and not our s

Growing in Christ: stillness

Gooooooood morning family and friends! As I sit here this morning, meditating on the word of God, I am still.... My life can get extremely busy, but being busy for myself, never spells being productive! I have sat here for the last hour, attempting to blog, but I got nothing! Absolutely nada ! ( laughs) When I have become to busy; I have become distracted, from getting my quiet time in with God! I never write, unless the Holy Spirit guides me in what to say, for the day. For it is not my own will for my life but, God's will in my life, daily! So I slow my pace, and sit and wait on God. Allowing Him, to minister to my spirit, and speak to me of the things, He wants to say ...  God has pulled the emergency brakes, on my life! Heavenly Father, my life, and time belongs to You.  For as the word of God says, Acts 17:28 "for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’ I live, breathe, write, and  live this li

Growing in Crist

Have you ever been around a hungry person? If their anything like me. I get pretty grumpy, when I feel my stomach grumbling, and hunger pains kick in! Just as we need our daily physically food, we MUST read our bibles daily. Reading the word and constantly filling our self up in it! Don't allow your spiritual life to be starved, malnutrition , or empty! In addition, God has a promise to those, who meditate on the word of God, day and night.. Note this verse... Psalm 1:2-3 But his delight is in the law of the Lord,And in His law he meditates day and night.3 He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water,That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper. Remember God created the body to live off of physically food, and spiritual food daily! You won't live very long, without either one; Suffering a miserable death, both naturally, and spiritually . So what's for breakfast this morning? ( laughs)

Growing in Christ: Where are you God?

God where are you? Do you not see, what is going on in my life? I am drowning in my own sorrows! I can remember saying these words, countless times, in the beginning of my faith walk! Crying out to God, to fix my situations. Than in complete awe, when Christ stepped in each time! It was a never ending cycle, from despair to joy, and back to despair! I am so grateful, for God's patients with me, as I grew in faith, in Him. Note these verses... Matthew 8:24-34(NKJV) 24 And suddenly a great tempest arose on the sea, so that the boat was covered with the waves. But He was asleep. 25 Then His disciples came to Him and awoke Him, saying, “Lord, save us! We are perishing!” 26 But He said to them, “Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?” Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm. 27 So the men marveled, saying, “Who can this be, that even the winds and the sea obey Him?” There comes a time in all of our lives, when we finally grow up, spiritually . No
